Metcalfe Constructions came highly recommended to renovate this two storey 98 year old double brick catholic church and nunnery building. Typical of these projects, compliance issues rated highly throughout, with new services required for toilets, washroom, air handling and safety considerations covering external (courtyard) and internal (security) designs. The kindergarten section of the building was totally modernised and brought up to current AS standards and can facilitate the disabled community also.
Internally all original pressed metal ceilings and stain glass timber windows throughout the building where repainted and left in their original state.
Externally, the entire building has been rejuvenated with the external façade repainted, installation of a new shade sail and a three tear timber decking arrangement amongst a new storage shed for the Kindergarten.
Newly designed landscaping throughout around the building with an enclosure secure area for the children to play.
The result is a highly efficient building.
