Asian Style Pavilion

Description

When the owners of this spectacular, contemporary Asian style pavilion house and gardens came to build, they decided to create the kind of open, tropical home that the Hervey Bay lifestyle and weather would welcome ….. In keeping with the almost year round sun and capturing the soft breezes.

Built in a small private estate with an entry automated security gate four linked pavilions are used to create a sprawling home that branches out to encompass the slope of the site.

Enter the house through the custom design and built timber and glass pivot door and walk onto the “select grade” spotted gum hardwood floor that lead throughout the pavilions linking the home inside to out.

To the left of the entry leads off to a large open plan kitchen area, a dining and a sitting and television area. Follow along the passageway are 3 more queen size bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, with a large luxurious bathroom and laundry area.

A wide wall of timber bi-folds in the kitchen pavilion open onto large entertaining deck build around a pool which is the centre point to pavilions 1, 2 and 3.

Turn right from the main entry down the passageway to the master bedroom “suite” overlooking outdoor living and entertaining area and pool.

There is a large en suite tiled with natural stone tiles floor to ceiling and roomy walk-in wardrobe. Off this bedroom also is a private external spa area and office/study.

The house has excellent natural lighting and great air flow throughout, due to the placement of windows and louver windowing.

Continue down the passage way to the fourth pavilion is a larger than usual 3 vehicle security garage and large store/workshop.

A key aspect of this home is the ability to combine living spaces with the exterior, providing the homeowner’s with plenty of room to entertain guests.

The water features that link the outside to the interior are used to create a harmonious space to relax and enhance the peaceful setting.

All pavilions are cladded with a combination of sawn texture timber ply sheeting coated with a clear finish and rendered thermal insulated panels.

"We wanted the house to be functional and casual but at the same time aesthetically pleasing," Ian and Jane explain.
